Janata Service is a Bangladesh-based local services marketplace connecting customers with verified service providers. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect through our website and Android application and how we use it.

জনতা সার্ভিস বাংলাদেশের একটি লোকাল সার্ভিস মার্কেটপ্লেস। এই পলিসিতে আমরা ব্যাখ্যা করছি কী তথ্য সংগ্রহ করি, কেন করি, এবং কীভাবে সুরক্ষিত রাখি।

• Personal info: name, mobile number, email, address, profile photo (নাম, ফোন, ঠিকানা)
• Location: approximate and precise GPS location (booking and nearby providers — শুধু বুকিং করার সময়)
• Photos / Media: profile picture, service photos, chat attachments, voice messages
• Identity documents: National ID (NID) for KYC verification of service providers — stored privately, accessible only to admin reviewers
• Camera & Microphone: only when you take a photo or record a voice message in-app
• Financial info: wallet balance, transactions, payout method (bKash / Nagad / Bank account numbers)
• Device info: push notification token (FCM), basic device type for support
• Usage data: bookings, messages, reviews, support tickets

• Match you with the right service providers nearby
• Process bookings, payments, refunds, and payouts
• Send OTPs and transactional SMS / push notifications
• Verify identity (KYC) and prevent fraud
• Provide customer support and resolve disputes
• Improve safety, security, and product quality

We do not sell your personal data. We share only what is necessary:

• The other party in a booking (e.g. customer name, phone, address shared with the assigned provider only after booking is accepted)
• SMS gateway (SMSLayer) to deliver OTPs and notifications
• Payment gateway (EPS) to process top-ups and payouts
• Cloud infrastructure providers (Supabase, Cloudflare, Google Firebase) — used only to run the service
• Law enforcement when legally required

Data is stored on secure cloud servers with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Sensitive documents (NID, KYC) are stored in private storage buckets accessible only to authorized admins. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

• Request a copy of your data by contacting support

• Opt out of promotional notifications from Settings

Janata Service is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via in-app notification or SMS. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
